As a young adult in today's media driven society, it is tough to find people who do not have a twitter account let alone never looked at the website. The question whether or not the popular website has peaked has arisen, and personally, I feel the statement is not a very accurate assessment. While the numbers of visitors to the site has dropped statistically, it is hard for me and I'm sure anyone else to go an entire day without encountering the topic of twitter. It is everywhere. Almost every day on Sportscenter, an announcement about a new overpaid athlete, complaining about his team via his twitter account is made. Fans of the teams, and various other celebrities join the site just so they can "follow" their favorite people and feel like they are somewhat close to them. I myself refuse to have a twitter account, but I know I am one of the very few people who do not have one. I feel like the site is a little to invasive for my liking, people don't need to know what I'm doing every minute of the day. Yes, I have a facebook account, however I am not the person who changes his status every ten minutes. In fact, I haven't changed my status in days. Twitter is still going strong and in my opinion, has in no way peaked. I believe that it will be still be going strong for a while because it is a way for us regular people to fel like celebrities for a few minutes out of the day.

Introduction
My name is Anthony Giuliano and I am in my fourth year at MSU. Although I am technically a senior I will be attending the school for an extra year because I changed majors at the end of my junior year. I hope to be able to come away from this course with a better understanding of how to properly create press releases and other pieces of written work for use in the world of public relations. I created this blog as an assignment for my PR writing course and will be regularly posting on it different things we have been discussing in class among various other topics. I also hope to gain a better understanding of the media phenomenon that is blogging. I'm still trying to figure out how to actually form these posts, hopefully my next one will be better.
